The Evergreen Center is an integrated learning and living environment where students with autism can achieve their maximum potential. Evergreen students live in group-homes in local communities, supported by a caring and knowledgeable staff. Each day they travel to and from school, and in their free time shop, bank, dine, participate in recreation and socialize in the community. The Center understands the obstacles that students with developmental, medical and behavioral needs encounter, and believes that the achievement of social competence is a reliable predictor of a student’s successful adjustment to a lifestyle centered in community participation.
